Bear & Watermelon Bento
Yeayyy!!! Finally I have this type of slim bento box ^^. Many thanks for a sweet friend of mine for this cool box :D. This is actually two tiers box, but in this Bear & Watermelon bento case, a single tier was enough hehehe. I'm totally in love with my maiden bento voyage with this box. On the top of the rice, I put two cute little brown bears with their beloved watermelon :D. The brown bears were made of fried tempeh and cheese. I used my "paw" Carla Craft puncher to punch the nori sheet for the eyes, while for the smile I used "happy face" Carla Craft puncher - I combined them. I love to use my Carla Craft punchers, they are so sharp and precise. Some of my friends like to ask me where I could find my CC punchers. Well, for my Indonesian bento buddies, you can be happy: Carla Craft punchers are now available in Indonesian online bento store. You can get them at Bento E-Shop (it's facebook is more update :D) or if you can't get the one that you want, Malaysia's Bentocraft also provides various CC punchers :D. Both ladies of those both online stores are very nice women that will always help you to get bento tools that you want :D.

Oh well, back on the right bento track. The watermelon was from a half slice of kyuri cucumber and red part of imitated crab stick added with black sesame as the watermelon's seeds. Hey, the pink cheeks were made with Adobe PS CS hehe (lucky me could edit this photo before my PS CS was ruined by viruses T_T). The side dishes were shrimp and bokchoy stir fry, mendol tempe, and boiled beef sausage. This bento also had boiled broccoli and strawberry :D

See you buddies! ^^

  1. I love the little bears with their watermelon, and the combination of cucumber and crab stick sounds really delicious! You could even use a little cream cheese to stick the crab to the cucumber for a yummy layer of flavor. Such a cute bento, tatabonita!!

  12. @Lia Chen: Many thanks Mbak Lia... Oh, I didn't do anything with the crab stick hehehe. I sometimes bought them in a pack (imported) but their color were not pretty good (light red). Now my favorite is the one sold in Hypermart. It has pretty red color and the taste is also better :D
