A Bowl of Mixed Indonesian Curry
It seems that viruses have been very fond of me recently; after they attacked my laptop last week, it's now my turn. I've been suffering from persistent flu and cough over a week (it's the longest one in my flu history suffering hehehe). I'm totally aware that I'm not in a really good shape these past few days and it is worsened by the unfriendly weather.

Food can always be one of the best ways of comforting ourselves from this uncomfortable fettle beside hiding under the cosiness of warm blanket. It's too often for the clear and fresh soup accompanied me for this situation, so I need to look for another alternative comforting food - and my choice went to a bowl dish! I just bought a recipe book of hungry-inducing bowl dishes and I just wanted to try one of them with curry as the topping. I love curry, and I love to curry-ize everything recently - I love to have it in my omelet, fried rice, stir fry, fritters, and steamed rice (oh, steamed curry rice is sooo good :D). My aunt loves to bring me homemade Indonesian curry paste when she visits me; if she doesn't have time to make it, she will buy me from traditional market :D. It's a bundle of fun to have lots cooking experiment with curry paste or powder, yup I think curry paste is one of the best cooking spices ever :D.

The typical main ingredient of Indonesian curry is chicken meat. But for this time, I made a little modification by adding some of my favorite ingredients: potato, wood ear fungus, and buna shimeji :D. Besides, I made the curry a little bit thicker (means more tasty :D). I looooveee it, there's no better way to enjoy it with a bowl of warm rice :D
