No worry, Jadul Bentos Parades are still in queue for the next posts :D. Today’s bento post is very special since I made it to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day that falls on the every 17th day of August. The charaben brought girls’ power as the theme :D. The two nurses depicted their role as the national freedom fighters’ life rescuers when they were struggling for the independence *yeah may be just like the one in the “Pearl Harbor” the movie, ah soooo sweet hehehe :p*.
I made this charaben some days ago and brought it for ngabuburit (fasting break time/iftar time together with friends :D). Everyone was so thrilled with this charaben and wanted to have a pict with it – yeah, the nurses became the main stars :D. The charaben ended up to be eaten by Kokoh Kian – oh, lucky him! Hehehe. The nurse’s hat (right?) was made from boiled chikuwa; the red cross was added by adobe photoshop ;p. The yummy section was filled with boiled beef wiener, chicken chunks curry with sesame seeds, tamago with abon sapi /beef floss (try this one, it’s now my favorite :D), and yeaaayyy… finally I can make a rose from egg sheet :D. As this charaben has Indonesia’s Independence Day theme, the little Indonesian flag was a must prop :D.
Back to Indonesia’s Independence Day business again, this is the map of Indonesia - the beauty of equatorial emerald :D. As I have written on the song above: From Sabang to Merauke, thousand islands are lined and connect to be one, that is INDONESIA.
