Zakumi Bento

(Let's sing!)

Ooooooh Wooooooh

Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher
See the champions, take the field now, you define us, make us feel proud
In the streets are, exaliftin , as we lose our inhabition,
Celebration its around us, every nation, all around us

Singin forever young, singin songs underneath that sun
Lets rejoice in the beautiful game.
And together at the end of the day.

WE ALL SAY

When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back 3x

When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back 3x

Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho

Jambo! South Africa FIFA World Cup 2010 is around the corner (still two weeks to go but I've already got its fever sensation hehehe). I'm rooting for Germany and England (Oh oh oh, when will Indonesia join FIFA World Cup!!?? *sigh* hehe). How about you? What's your favorite squad? :D.

For today's post, the bento goes with the 2010 FIFA World Cup official mascot, ZAKUMI! Zakumi is a leopard with green hair and yellow body that represent the South Africa national soccer team's uniform. The name "ZA" comes from South Africa's code and "kumi" which means ten different African languages used in South Africa.

Zakumi is a jolly, self-confident, adventurous, spontaneous, and actually quite shrewd little fellow. He loves to perform and always follows his instinct and intuition, yet sometimes has the tendency to exaggerate a bit. You will often find him fooling about and teasing people but not in a mean way. He is warm-hearted and caring, and wants to make as many friends as possible.

He loves to play football as it is a great way to connect with others and break down language barriers. He always carries his football around which he will use to invite people to play with him. Zakumi loves football. At one time he decided to dye his hair green as he felt it would be the perfect camouflage against the green of the football pitch; a bit like his rosette spots are when hunting in the wilderness! (LOL, I can't help myself to laugh when I'm imagining Zakumi goes to salon to dye his hair into green! Ha ha ha ha!)

Okay, my Zakumi's green hair made from colored egg sheet and its face made from cheese and touched up with nori cutouts. I added light yellow color to the face with turmeric extract mixed with a small amount of water (I didn't have cheese with yellow color :D). I forgot to add some spots on Zakumi's face - so, my Zakumi is a spotless leopard hehehe. Zakumi goes with his small soccer ball made from quail egg, flower from beef sausage, ebi furai, fried mushroom, and blanched broccoli. Zakumi also brings his mates to play soccer together - Giraffe, Elph, Tiger, and Lion :D. It's soooooo in the jungle, eh? Hehehe :D. I also put some little flower nori cutouts on the rice, oh I love my new Carla Craft puncher - so sharp! :D

Zakumi Bento 2

Oya, I submit this bento as my second entry for KDW's Giveaway Contest with the theme HAPPY & HEALTHY :D. Ai Ping, this is my second entry. Hope it is valid :D. Every one loves Zakumi and so do kids, right? Hehehe :D

  11. @Sysyl: Makasih Sysyl.... :D. Itu bikinnya pertama sosis diiris miring agak tipis2 kesisi kanan (ato dikerat ya istilahnya hehe). Setelah itu gantian diiris miring kesisi kiri. Diiris miring2 deh Syl intinya hehe sampe bentuknya kayak diamond gitu. Setelah itu direbus agak lama sampai melengkung dan mekar gitu. Oya, supaya tambah mekar ngirisnya mending agak dalam, tapi hati2 ya jgn sampai putus :D
