Bulgogi 1
I’ve managed to post again for MasBar *end of the month* actually, but since I’ve got awards attack from some dear blogger friends, it forces me to write a new post *but of cos it’s real pleasurable for me :D*. Had got no idea what to go initially, so I decided to continue my Korean food parade whose recipes I had already written. Hundreds of Bulgogi recipe we can encounter with when we seek for it by the help of Uncle Goog; but again, Kevin’s recipe was the one that had intrigued me so much to give it a go. I love love love the idea of using grated pear and apple to the marinade as the meat tenderizer agent and to add sweetness in the flavor. Yum yum! It’s really good *sweet and tasty* and easy peasy to make. What are you waiting for? Just give it a try :D

Korean Bulgogi
300 gram beef sirloin, thinly sliced *store in the freezer first to make you easier in the slicing process*
Sesame seeds, toasted
Green onion, angled-sliced for garnish

2 cloves of garlic, grated
1 clove of shallot, grated
1cm fresh ginger root, grated
¼ pear fruit, grated
¼ Fuji apple, grated
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp sugar
1 green onion, chopped
Salt and ground white pepper to season

1. Clean and rinse the beef sirloin. Save it in a freezer til almost freeze. Slice the beef thinly.
2. Mix the beef and all spices, place it in a container. Put it in a fridge and marinate for overnight.
3. Heat a pan, cook the marinated beef until done and the spices are absorbed. Remove from heat.
4. Transfer on a plate, sprinkle it with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion. You can also enjoy it with Kim Chi.

Don’t be too long storing the beef in the freezer since it’ll be as hard as stone --> it harms your knife hehe ;)


Korean Bulgogi

300 gram daging khas dalam, iris tipis
Biji wijen, sangrai
Daun bawang, iris serong untuk hiasan

2 siung bawang putih, parut
1 bawang merah, parut
1cm jahe, parut
¼ buah pear, parut
¼ apel Fuji, parut
2 sdm soy sauce
1 sdt minyak wijen
½ sdt gula
1 batang daun bawang, cincang
Garam dan merica bubuk secukupnya

Cara Membuat:
1. Cuci dan bersihkan daging. Simpan dalam freezer sampai hampir membeku, iris-iris tipis. Jangan lama-lama ya, ntar dagingnya jadi keras kayak batu hehe.
2. Campur irisan daging dengan semua bumbu, letakkan dalam sebuah wadah dan tutup. Simpan dalam kulkas semalaman.
3. Panaskan wajan, masak daging dan bumbu sampai matang dan bumbu terserap. Angkat.
4. Hidangkan Bulgogi yang sudah matang. Taburi dengan wijen sangrai dan irisan daun bawang. Bisa dinikmati dengan Kim Chi.
